Fees & Policies

At Resilient Roots Counseling and Consulting, we work with a variety of insurance providers to make therapy more accessible. Many of our clients utilize their insurance benefits, but we also offer self-pay options for those with high-deductible plans or those who prefer to pay out-of-pocket. Our team is here to help you explore the payment option that best meets your needs.

Insurance

All of our therapists are paneled with Aetna and Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance in North Carolina.

However, some therapists may also be paneled with additional insurance providers and serve clients in South Carolina. For the most up-to-date information on your therapist’s specific insurance panel, please visit their individual therapist page.

  • We can assist in verifying your insurance benefits and copay. However, we always recommend contacting your insurance provider directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

“Out of Network”

If you do not have the insurance listed, we are considered "out of network" providers. That means you will pay the fee for services at the time of your appointment directly to Resilient Roots, Counseling and Consulting and then you can seek reimbursement from your insurance company.

We encourage you to call your insurance company to see if you are eligible for full or partial reimbursement. We are happy to provide an invoice and a superbill at the end of the month so that you can request reimbursement from your insurance company. We will not submit this for you.

When contacting your insurance company, you will want to ask the following questions: 

1. Do I have "out of network" benefits for mental health treatment?

2. Do I have a co-pay or deductible for "out of network" benefits?

3. If I have a deductible, what is that amount? 

4. Tell them that you will receive a "superbill" and ask how to submit your claim to them directly.

5. If your insurance company asked what specific "CPT Codes" you will be using, please provide the following information: 90791 for the first intake session, 90837 for individual therapy.

Self Pay and Out-of-Network Rates

Initial 50-minute intake session = $140

50-minute session = $140

Family/Relationship session = $140

*We do not submit out-of-network superbills for family/relationship counseling. Read more in the FAQ section.

*Military members: while we do not take Tricare, discounts are available, and your privacy will always be respected.

Limited sliding scale spots may be available.

Cancelation Policy

Notice of at least 24 business hours is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, or you have not notified us, you will be charged a $100 fee for the time that has been reserved for you.
